As part of their clustering activities, the EU-India Future Internet & Electronic Media project (FI-MEDIA) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
intiaitive (UBA) are organising a cluster to cluster (C2C) partnership event dedicated to ‘Smart Villages’, as per the following schedule:
Date: 18th December 2015
Time: 10 am to 5 pm
Venue: Senate Hall, IIT Delhi
The purpose of the FI-MEDIA / UBA C2C workshop is brainstorming from the perspectives of both EU and India to develop clarity on various research and innovation challenges and potential solutions related to the development of 'Smart Villages', including Pilots.
The program contains 5 sessions: (Inaugural session, Background of UBA, Presentations on Rural projects by IIT Madras, Clustering opportunities for Smart Village Ecosystems in India, and Clustering with EU to enable solutions for Smart villages & Sustainability).
Participation: GoI officials, Delegation of the European Union to India, FI-MEDIA partners: WIT (Ireland), Beyond Evolution Tech. Solutions (Gurgaon), IIT Delhi, and Academic, Research & Industry & NGOs from both EU and India.
All participants are expected to share their ideas on ‘Smart Villages’, including relevant smart technologies, existing initiatives, studies, or projects underway in this area, and potential applications/ pilots and challenges for wider replications.
This C2C event would be one of series of deliberations that we have planned within the clustering activities to forge a C2C partnership consisting of like-minded partners from academia-research-industry-NGOs on the subject. Other participants from your organization are also welcome. A line of confirmation will help making best of the program.
There are still limited spaces for presentations available. In case you wish to make a presentation (brief 10 min), please confirm on the topic being addressed and relevancy to the aforementioned workshop session topics.
Note: If selected for a presentation slot, we would need a 1 page CV summary, 1 page write up and copy of slides strictly before 15th Dec (5:00 pm.) to be included in the Proceedings. A maximum of 5 slides introducing your company and specific area/problems you would like to work on specifically in this topic area would be accepted.
